Driving the 390 kms from Stockinbingal to Dubbo today I passed through the tiny settlement of Alicetown on the Newall Highway and spotted a little house with the garden filled with plaster gnomes.The photograph does not do the collection justice.The owner told me that she had been collecting the gnomes for over forty years and they never get stolen. Weird.
