The Vespa

Three years ago

 Three years ago this month Rosie and I spent two weeks in the Kimberley region of Western Australia at firstly, the beautiful El Questro Homestead and then at the Cable Beach Resort in Broome.

We had a fabulous time and saw spectacular scenery and sunsets.

I was reminded of this trip today when Apple photos popped up with one of those memories collections.

Here are three sunset shots from that trip. Even the most colourful Kimberley sunset is better with a glass, or two,  of champagne as Rosie will confirm.

The morning ritual

 Australia has a really great, well established, coffee culture as Starbucks (yuk) found out a few years ago to their cost. You can get a really good cup of coffee in most cafes in Australia.  

In Terrigal, which is not a big place, there are no less than 9 cafes open early in the morning and all serve good coffee.

Our favourite is Luna where the staff are really friendly and the coffee is consistently very good. We are there early most mornings for our regular medium flat whites . 

I took this photo with my iPhone 13 this morning at 7.00am on what looks like another beautiful spring day. Most of the customers were outside in the sunshine. We opted for a warmer spot inside.

Light and shade in Morocco

 Three light and shade photos from Morocco taken last October. Monochrome photos seem to be all the fashion nowadays but although I still much prefer colour these three do work in monochrome.

Taken with my Leica Q3 43 and processed in Lightroom and Nik 8 Silver Efex.
