The pits have provided me with most of my motor racing photo opportunities and I enjoy the atmosphere of the pits and the paddock as much as anything else in motor racing.Sadly the opportunities to access the pits or even the paddock at most top and medium level race meetings are very limited nowadays.Even at the recent Porsche Rennsport Australia some the Porsche Carrera Cup teams erected sight screens to prevent spectators looking into their pits.What precious nonsense.Some of those teams are so far up themselves that they can see daylight.

A camera carrying enthusiast at the 1981 Italian Grand Prix at Monza. .Is anyone prepared to make a guess at the nationality or profession of the young lady ( both known) and can anyone recognise the camera she is using (not known).Answers and guesses in the comments below thanks.

Thanks for your comment re the blog.You do not need any experience in computer programming.I use Google Blogger which is very easy to use.I do not have any experince with any other blog systems so cannot make any recommendations.There are lots of tutorials and forums on Blogger but I managed to set up the blog by myself.
ReplyDeleteA blog does not involve a lot of work -if you have a lot of material available.I have an enormous image bank and I keep adding to it so it is very easy for me to write stories and find photos for the blog.
There are millions of blogs out there and only a few of them have many readers or followers.I started this blog as a way of showing my photos to my friends,It developed from there.Before starting a blog I recommend that you decide exactly what you want to achieve with the blog-who do you expect to read it -and that you think hard whether you have enough material availble to keep it running.If you let the blog lapse for too long the readers and followers give up so you have to post regularly.hope that all helps.
