McCartney was the second owner-driver of the Felday 4 BRM, from 1967-1970.

I have 2 stainless steel tableware trophies awarded to John McCartney in 1965 and 1972. It would have been a bonus were they won by John McCartney driving the Felday 4, but they pre- and post-date his ownership.

One is Stroud Valley Motor Club, Tern Hill Sprint, Second in Class ( engraved nibbles tray ), and the second is, Airedale & Pennine Motor Car Club, 1965 Baitings Dam Hill Climb - 1st Class Award ( engraved oval tray ). I would like to find out more about John McCartney, and for what races, and in which cars, these trophies were won.
