If you think that the XJS ( see post below) is ugly take a look at the Marcos Mantis-- seen at St Saturnin ,Le Mans .It's difficult to comprehend but someone must have designed this, others must have thought it worth building and someone still loves it.
Back to the XJS post below friend Roger ,Jaguar expert extraordinaire, reminds me that Malcolm Sayer , who styled the XJS ,also styled the beautiful D-type and E-type Jaguars.I guess we all have bad days.

  1. This is the third Marcos Mantis I've owned - driving down to Le Mans every year since 1982. People who haven't driven the car often misunderstand it. It has a very large boot for camping equipment, 4 full-size seats, electric windows (unusual at the time of production), a TR6 150bhp engine with overdrive on 2nd, 3rd and 4th. A very practical car, built in 1970, wrongly blamed for the demise of Marcos Cars as all 32 cars built were sold.

Not everyone wants to drive a little hot hatch!
